Recommendations for local company to purchase and install water softer

I have hard water that leaves spots on my glassware and causes soap scum to build up easily. I'd like to get a soft water system installed, but I know nothing about it. Would anyone be able to point me to the right direction, particularly to a local company that won't try to upsell me or provide a low quality product?
