Recommendations for K1 Visa and Immigration Lawyers

I am a 26 F in the Houston area seeking advice on how to go about applying for a green card for my Colombian boyfriend (26M), soon-to-be fiance. Him and I have been dating for over a year and are seriously wanting to get married in the near future. However, we are not sure about where to start because ultimately we would like to live together in the United States. We would also like to marry in Colombia first, but I am not sure if that makes more work for us having to get the documents notarized from Colombia and sent to the United States. He currently is not a holder of a tourist visa because the appointments at the embassy in Bogota are currently very backed up and can be costly since he resides in Barranquilla. We are looking into a K1 visa as possibly being our best option, but I am hoping someone here has general knowledge of the process (time, cost, etc.) or recommendations of where to start and lawyers in the area who have been helpful. I have never had to inquire with a lawyer before regarding immigration and I am just anxious about what the outcome may be considering the political climate at the moment, especially in Texas.
