Recommendations for Bbq, TexMex, breakfast, etc

I will be in Houston this weekend and I am looking for suggestions on places to eat. I’ve never been to Texas before, so I’d like to try Texas, barbecue and TexMex but I’m open to suggestions outside of that. Any breakfast/brunch spots suggestions would also be welcome

If there’s any do’s and don’ts as well I’m all ears
