Recommendations for 36h in Houston/bars

I’m visiting Houston on a layover to South America. I’m staying downtown from Thursday evening to Saturday morning and wanted to get some recommendations for maybe a bar for Thu/Fri evening, anywhere I should get dinner and some things I should definitely see on the Friday? I’m a mid 20s solo female traveller if that makes a difference, open to making a couple new friends/chatting, so looking for somewhere relatively lively!

So far I think Thu eve I’m looking for a relatively chill place to eat (by myself) maybe with a bar (like a food court vibe?) then Friday my plan was to wander/maybe run Buffalo Bayou Park in the morning (ik it's hot as hell), maybe do some shopping and check out the NASA museum. Does this sound like a sensible itinerary and does anyone have any alternatives, things to bear in mind or places I should check out for the evenings?
