Recent UH Grad Launching a Small Business, Seeking Location Leads in Houston
| |
Hey everyone! I'm a recent graduate from the University of Houston launching my small business, Carry Moments. I'm looking for a home for my interactive kiosk. To give a little background, my machine is like a "photo booth." It allows people to take a photo they love from their device and instantly turn it into a high-quality, custom-printed accessory. The idea is to create a fun, memorable experience and a perfect souvenir. Imagine couples, families, or friends creating a matching set to celebrate a special day or a shared moment. It's a way for them to literally "carry a memory" with them every day. I've had some difficulty getting a spot in traditional retail locations (like malls), as they often have existing contracts for conventional stores. I'm now exploring new options and would love your help! If you know of a good contact or have advice on securing a space in any of the following high-traffic locations, I would be very grateful: Attraction sites (like Houston Space Center), Hotels, Apartment complexes and Event venues, I believe my kiosk would be a fantastic addition to places where people are already taking dozens of photos and looking to capture an amazing memory with them. Any leads or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! EDIT: Hey everyone, thank you so much for the helpful comments @RelaxRelapse I want to provide a bit more detail to answer some questions and make it easier to give suggestions. The Business ModelThe kiosk isn't for sale; I'm looking to rent a small space. I'm a service provider who manages the kiosk and handles all the operations. The ProductThe accessory is a high-quality, custom-printed phone case. My business, Carry Moments, is all about transforming a digital photo into a tangible memory you can carry with you. The TechnologyThe kiosk is a fully automated unit. Users interact with a large touch screen to connect their device wirelessly and select their photo. It's designed to be a seamless and fun experience that takes just a few minutes. Why a Kiosk? You can't get this kind of instant gratification from an online order. The core value of the kiosk is the experience itself it's a form of "retail-tainment." It's a fun, quick activity that gives you a tangible souvenir of a specific moment, like a family trip or a group photo with friends. I hope this helps shed more light on the business. Thanks again for all the support! submitted by /u/2_Be_rich |
