Rebranded telecom co. TravelWifi expands into Indonesia with acquisition of Wifi Republic

A fast-growing telecom firm based in Houston expanded its reach to Indonesia with a new acquisition.

Houston-based TravelWifi — a provider of portable Wi-Fi devices for international travelers that recently rebranded from DHI Telecom Group — acquired Wifi Republic in Jakarta, Indonesia, according to a Sept. 23 press release.
