Real Question
|
We all know C.J. Stroud is clearly the better quarterback it's not even close. However, we’re seeing a trend where teams thrive with average QBs like Jalen Hurts, Mac Jones, Brock Purdy, Sam Darnold, and Daniel Jones. These QBs succeed because they often have one of three key advantages: great offensive talent, a solid defense, or a strong offensive line. (We got two out the three) The reality is that Stroud could get up to $300 million once his rookie contract ends. That's a fucking crazy amount for a single position. While he deserves credit for reviving our team alongside Will Anderson and a strong defense, history shows that with a top crazy defense, a good offensive line, and solid talent around them, average QBs can lead teams to Super Bowls especially if they play it safe. So, if you're Casero and the Jets come knocking with them first round picks or more, wouldn't you consider that deal? Keeping Mills would likely save us nearly $150 million, allowing us to invest in the roster and utilize those draft picks effectively. Dynasties emerge from good management, a winning culture, strong development, a bit of luck, and one of your top players taking pay cuts for the betterment of the team.
