Real estate direct sale

We are planning to move out of Houston this summer and given the high demand for homes, was curious about the ability to fore go the real estate agent and sell directly to a buyer. Anyone have any recent experience or recommended resources? It’s a 2016 build in Oak Forest, which I know is a hot area.
