Real Estate Attorney
Can anyone please recommend an attorney that specializes in deed restrictions and endorcability? We have a neighbor that is, in my opinion, trying to turn my deed restricted neighborhood (in Houston City Limits) into a HOA. She says she wants to “modernize the deed restrictions” but instead has created “restrictive covenants” that are very HOA-esque in nature and state where one can store their trash can, no one can have signs, they can impose fines, etc. I need an attorney to help guide me in what is needed to approve this nonsense and how to stop it. I’m not opposed to updating the 1940s deed restrictions. I’m opposed to all the unnecessary rules, fines, pay to play for voting, etc.
Edited to add more specifics on location.
