Read if bored. About food!
Y’all probably busy on this Saturday night so I’ll take my chance just in case you experts decided to stay in or randomly scrolling while waiting for your order.
We have a guest flying in from California and visiting Houston for the first time! We just moved to Houston (From Dallas – don’t hate me) so we haven’t quite explored all that Houston has to offer yet. We’ve tried some but it’s so hard to find new go to places for stuff! So much trial and error lol our guest said he’s heard that Houston food is daaaabomb but unfortunately I’m not a local/good representative so I’m a bit unsure if where I take him would uphold the expectation he has in mind.
This is where you come in!
If y’all don’t mind helping me out.. We’re thinking of taking our guest for some steak, would you mind ranking the following from best to worst? We’re about to put the top 3 places on pieces of paper into a bowl and choose from there lmao
Steak:
Location preference: less than an hour away from Spring/
Woodlands area
Budget: $100 or less per person
Ambience: Casual/Dressy
-Taste of Texas
-Pappas
-Dorris Met
-Del Friscos
-B & B Butchers
-Eddie V’s
*** I’ve tried ToT thought it was a dressy place so I dressed up lol when I got there I was like oh I think I’m overdressed 😂 it was a nice experience though! Steak was fine bread was goooood.
Korean BBQ AYCE:
Loc preference: less than an hour away from Spring/Woodlands area
Budget: less than $50 per person (?)
-Handam
-Korea House
-Gen
-Jin
-Bon Ga
*** Tried Gen in Dallas and a few other Kbbq places there, have tried Jin— pretty good!
These are the ones we’ve tried so far! Preferably suggestions are around spring/woodlands area (For those “I don’t feeling like cooking let’s order/eat out” days)
Mexican
-Ambriza’s
Vietnamese
-Fu Manchung
-Pho Town 2
-Pho Viet Grill
Burgers
-OMG burger
Brunch
-Toasted Yolk
-Another broken egg
-Season’s Harvest
Chinese
Japanese
Korean
-Seoul Garden
-Tofu Village
Dessert place- cake or pies!
Bar/pub
Ambience: safe chill bar, not too noisy to not hear each other but loud enough to enjoy good music (preferably 90s, 2000 music if a place like that even exists lol) rnb or just a mix!
Bonus: any delicious recommendations near NASA (we will be swinging by!)
Thank you for your time! I appreciate any suggestions!
So sorry for the wall of text. Hope y’all are having a great night!
