Random Stat: Altuve is the only player in MLB history to appear in 40+ games at 2nd base, any outfield spot, and DH in a single season
Edit: Just to be clear since the headline might be a bit confusing: this stat refers to 40+ games at 2nd base, 40+ games at any outfield spot, and 40+ games at DH in a single season.
Jose Altuve so far in 2025:
- 46 games at 2nd base
- 45 games in the outfield
- 44 games as DH
One of the players who came close was Tony Phillips in 1992. In that season, he appeared in 69 games as an outfielder, 57 games at 2nd base, and 34 games at DH.
