RALLY TO DEFEND ABORTION RIGHTS! Wednesday 6:30 PM @ Houston City Hall.

Houston must be a sanctuary city for people needing an abortion!

–Mayor Turner and the City of Houston must “decriminalize” abortion by refusing to fund police investigations involving abortion.

–District Attorney Kim Ogg must refuse to prosecute abortion cases.

–Judge Hidalgo must immediately make abortion pills free and universally available, distributed by Harris County Health System!

Nationally, President Biden should immediately:

–Sign an executive order opening abortion clinics on federal land in the more than 20 states with trigger bans, like Texas.

–Make abortion pills accessible across the country, and over-the-counter, by using the F.D.A.’s guidance to preempt any state restrictions.

Going even further, Biden and the Democratic leadership in the House and Senate must codify Roe and make abortion rights the law NOW while they control the White House and Congress!

Finally, we Need Medicare for All, including gender-affirming care and free abortion on demand! Bring back the pandemic-era child tax credits, universal childcare and fully funded public schools, all of this funded by taxing the rich.
