Question about age requirement to buy/redeem tickets at Daikin Park

I have a daughter who is 2 and a half years old that I'm trying to take to watch baseball for the first time at Daikin Park.

Do I need to buy/redeem ticket for her as well? Or, is that not necessary as long as she sits on either myself or my wife's lap?

I believe it's natural to think that the "2 AND under" implies anyone under 3 years old to not require a ticket, but I just want to make sure.

"Fans age 2 and under may be admitted to Astros games without an admission ticket."

I joined Buddy Club for her not knowing that the Run the Bases thing is only from 5 years and up, but do have these free ticket vouchers, so trying to see if I need to redeem for her as well or not.
