queer meetups not in montrose

I live towards galveston and really don't like driving that side of town. I also really don't like the bar scene. I find it overwhelming and anxiety inducing.

Does anyone know of any non bar queer places I could try to meet more queer people at that isn't in montrose or around downtown?
