PSA: Stay away from LXLofts LLC! Terrible landlords

Today my landlord, Adi, with LX Lofts, entered my apartment without notice and adjusted my thermostat.

When I confronted him on it (there were boot marks and I left the thermostat at 75) he told me it is not my thermostat it is his thermostat to adjust as he pleases.

I told him not to touch the thermostat in my unit and to please give notice in the future. He quickly ended the conversation and said to only contact him in writing via text or email.

I’ve spoken to a few other neighbors in the complex and they shared similar stories. Water randomly shutting off, construction during the day keeping up residents who work night shift, unannounced entrances, charging for ludicrous items… the list goes on.

Unfortunately the Texas laws are not written in favor of the lessee. I’m just thankful I’m moving out next month and hope my security deposit doesn’t magically disappear. I feel terrible for my other neighbors who have to deal with Adi for another year.

I tried googling “LX lofts” before signing the lease but couldn’t find anything. I hope this makes it out there and gives future tenants fair warning.
