PSA: SPAY/NEUTER your DAMN Dog!!

So I’m a vet at a specialty practice, new here to Houston and never in my life have I seen so many testicles! Like are the balls supposed to match the damn truck nuts?

Yesterday alone I saw 2 intact males hit by a car one unspayed female with a vaginal infection, and two dog attacks. All involved intact animals, all could have been prevented or their risk decreased with spay/neuter. Also saw TWO puppies thrown from a car (found on a highway) this week like wtf. I also saw a post on here about a pregnant dog roaming around.

It’s a risk to your pets, a risk to your neighbors pets and it’s just stupid to skip out on money for. One guy said “oh we never got around to doing it and didn’t wanna do that to him” well now your bill is $4k-5K because your dog thinks he’s the boss and got in a fight.

Admittedly I’m probably preaching to the choir here but for fucks sake tell your friends and family so we can keep these dogs alive.
