PSA on temporary dealership license plates

I know the paper plates have been a local meme long before Covid (Nissan Altima with paper license plate, etc) but apparently the pandemic has backed the state up on getting license plates out to car buyers for whatever reason aside from the initial complications of social distancing and masking last year.

Just from personal experience, I bought a truck back in April and I still have dealer plates that expired in June. I have contacted my dealership about it and they always say the same thing. It’s a problem.

I would love nothing more than to have my permanent license plates, just FYI because I know people have been asking if anyone else noticed more paper plates out there – not all of us are sketchy I promise!
