PSA: Masks are for ALL of us. (Removed Earlier)
This post got removed earlier, I believe it might’ve been due to some minor profanity that was used but here is a revised version.
Hey y’all,
I usually don’t post or speak on anything over the internet but I need to let this out here. HOPING that this might reach to people.
I work at a retail store in one of our Houston malls. Our store has several signs posted, telling people that they are “REQUIRED” to wear face masks while shopping but I’ve been getting unnecessary attitude and push back by some customers after they’re politely asked if they have a mask, and if not, they need to get one in order to continue shopping.
I’ve been called “racist” for selectively stopping people but that’s not the case you bell-end. I can’t stop everyone when we’re understaffed and y’all decide to show up like the pandemic has just disappeared on a fine Friday. Our higher ups are telling us to NOT to refuse service or ask people to leave. Shocker; when have companies cared about disposable employees over profits? PLEASE be CONSIDERATE. Wear a mask! My coworker is NOT going to see his grandmother AND mother this mothers day because YOU decide to show up WITHOUT masks and HE, a 21 y/o is mature enough to not put his elderly loved ones at RISK because he claims to be “exposed”.
Please, just because WFH and Unemployment money is kicking in for you that doesn’t mean you walk around like ignorant people during a global pandemic. It is such a shame that 75K + deaths have come down to politics and a ticker board statistic.
