PSA: Affordable pet surgery

Basically, my cat broke his knee. After a vet visit that led me to a hospital that ended up trying to refer me to a hospital that actually is able to care for my cat surgically, I had paid $500 in diagnostics without any treatment. The vet told me the hospital would treat him, the hospital said they can’t do surgery. $500 to be told to go somewhere else.. They quoted 7k for surgery. Without surgery 1 in 10 chance of amputation and with no surgery, a limp for life for my 1 year old cat. I was gutted. These are tight times, after all.

Luckily, my friend referred me to a clinic 2 hours away. She drove all around town looking for help for her dog

. After sending over xrays, the clinic quoted 1k. On top of this, they offer in house financing if you don’t qualify for Scratchpay and Carecredit. They require 50% down along with payment plans. This took me from 7k to 900. Only $450 on the spot. I wanted to share this with y’all. This surgeon is absolutely amazing. He wants to help animals not extort you out of your money all in the name of love.

I wanted to share this in case any of you or your loved ones need pet care but simply can’t afford to pay thousands of thousands. I hope it helps.
