Pretend You’re In Paradise With Lagoon Views at Humble’s Newest Restaurant

Feast on blackened shrimp and grits while staring at sparkling blue water at Blue Lagoon
Blue Lagoon Bar & Grill, a new comfort food restaurant restaurant offering sunset views of crystal clear waters, is now open in Humble.
There aren’t many places in Houston where one can dine beside sparkling blue water and gleaming white sand, but Blue Lagoon Bar & Grill makes that possible, thanks to the manmade technology behind the 2-acre lagoon, the main recreation point of Humble development Balmoral’s Amenity Village.
These crystal lagoons have been popping up throughout the Houston area in recent years, with locations near Texas City and Rosharon. The Humble lagoon opened in 2018 and was the first in Texas. The lagoons feature a special award-winning technology that keeps the water from getting cloudy or sandy. The lagoons also have amenities like splash pads, paddle boarding, and now, sunset dining. The restaurant is, apparently, the first in the nation to be built alongside a crystal lagoon.
The menu at Blue Lagoon includes items like blackened shrimp and grits topped with sauteed bell peppers and onions, chicken and waffles with honey maple syrup and Aleppo pepper, and a “Kahuna burger”, served with smoked bacon and waffle fries. The restaurant also boasts a full bar and spacious patio overlooking the lagoon, and space for events like weddings, parties and corporate gatherings.
“It is a dining experience unique to Houston and — with the crystal clear lagoon setting — one unique to the nation,” said Uri Man, CEO of The Lagoon Development Company in a statement. “With such a gorgeous view, it will be easy to imagine that you’re in a tropical paradise.”
The Blue Lagoon Bar & Grill is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays.
