PPP loans softened Covid-19’s impact on the performing arts. But many still fighting for survival

For many performing arts organizations, the only saving grace during the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic has been multimillion-dollar loans issued by the U.S. Small Business Administration under the Paycheck Protection Program. But even with those loans, many performing arts organizations are fighting for their very survival.
