Potential Site Selection for Architectural Project

Hey y'all. I am currently looking to enroll in an architecture competition that requires me to build a multi-family housing facility on top of an exsisting building that is preferably cultural, historical, economic or has a redeeming quality. I am originally from San Antonio and am not very familiar with the area but have decided to make Houston the area of choice. Just wondering if anyone would know of any cool spots.
