While I do think the most likely outcome is us taking Young or Stroud, the more I watch this year the more I am kind of hoping they pass on the position this year.

At the start of this season I thought we were going to improve from the 4 wins last year, and while there are some nice pieces to build upon, we still have a lot of holes in this team, that QB will not fix by itself. Instead of drafting a kid who plays at one of the countries top schools and has some of the best offensive line talent in college, to come play for a team that the only solid confirmed lineman is a guard. It’s how QBs get ruined. I think with how much cap we have and draft picks, we just get a bridge free agent to build the team up for 1 more year before going and getting a QB.

The other major issue is that if we do go QB there isn’t anyone better than him preventing him from playing. This is nothing on Mills as a person, but as a QB the dude is still learning himself he had such limited playing time in college and we are seeing the results. I would not want to have them pick up very much from Mills.
