Port Houston gets nearly $80M grant for Barbours Cut project

Port Houston will receive nearly $80 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation for a project at one of its container terminals.

The grant comes from the Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) program and covers 40% of $198 million project, according to a June 17 press release. Port Houston received the entire amount it requested and will share 60% of the project’s costs.
