Please watch out for aggressive drivers tonight

I know there’s plenty of stories on road rage in houston, I’ve lived here all my life never thought anything of it because I drive normal. Tonight was the first time I was involved in road rage and the other guy was unjustifiably aggressive.

I was going to merge on Allen park way exiting off 45, someone was in my blind spot and honked so I stayed in my lane slowed down and went behind the guy. Honest mistake I’ll admit to it, never got close to the persons car or anything and I felt it was fine. This person that honked and now was in front of me was driving slower than I wished to so I changed lanes to the left sped up and went upon my way. Didn’t think of it at all. I changed lanes back to the right upon my exit on Waugh and the other driver pulls up by me and rolls his window down, at this point I just assumed maybe they’re warning me of a tail light being out or something, I open my window and he throws an open beer can at my car, missing me but hitting the side of my car by my windshield.

I was pissed, but I wasn’t going to confront him. I followed him for one light to catch up and get his tag number in case there was damage I was going to file a report. I keep a safe distance, and the guy slams on his brakes, comes out, saw me take his license plate information down, and proceeds to jump on the hood of my car. He started yelling and making something that I could not hear and honestly I was not paying attention. At this point I’m going in reverse in hopes to show this guy I’m not trying to confront or do anything physical. He hopped off eventually but not without yelling for quite a bit.

Quite a bizarre situation but nonetheless I’m noticing as I’m out there are plenty of drunk drivers already. Please be safe and do not confront these people, they are beyond any reason. Keep your own safety in mind tonight so we can all see 2022 without any issues.
