Please stop…

Sorry for the rant, but I've had enough. Last night I was looking at posts in r/nfl and in other social media, in general, and I got really pissed at a few comments that were made by fellow Texans fans, I've been hearing for the past few months/years by now.

Long story short, I seriously don't know how some of you guys are ok with us being the punching bag of the rest of the league at the expense of the rest of the fanbase.

Some of you do so by making comments like "Oh, we were celebrating our first AFC championship by the end of the first quarter against the Chiefs and then we lost!" and "I seriously hope that [insert name of star player here] leaves the team to go get a ring elsewhere". Regarding these two comments, for the first one I know, for a fact, I was not celebrating by the end of the first quarter of that game, anything can happen in three quarters of football, y'all! The second one is an overused comment I've been hearing since at least 2013 when people were talking about JJ or AJ, and now it's been updated to include current players while being just as lame.

It doesn't matter if you're a BoB apologist or a BoB hater, this goes waaaay beyond that. Seriously: you make the rest of the fanbase look veeeeery bad by making these comments.

I'd like to politely ask you to stop since: 1) It's super annoying for some die-hard fans (like me!) to see casual comments like these that do not reflect the views of the fanbase as a whole 2) We gotta suck up the hate sometimes and move on (e.g. the DeAndre Hopkins trade) 3) It promotes a lame team and fanbase culture moving on and I think we're so much more than that.

Get on the bandwagon, step down, be somewhere in between, I don't mind. But please: stop making these and other similar comments at the expense of the rest of the fanbase.
