Please help me find an apartment near the TMC, I start orientation in about 2.5 weeks!
I've been so stressed and overwhelmed with apartment hunting. There are many things to look out for. I am told if I pay anything below ~$1.1k, I should expect my car to be broken into. I am told to not live anywhere but Rice Village, Kirby, Museum District, and perhaps Montrose around the TMC, if I want better neighborhoods. I am told to look out for flooding. Then, there are all these negative reviews of all these apartments in said districts. Bad management, dirty halls, poor security, slow maintenance, and etc. I know the people with negative experiences will complain, and the ones that have positive experiences don't. But, it's still a little alarming.
At this point, if anyone recommends me an apartment, I will send an application immediately. I start my program towards the end of this month. Please help me, I would really appreciate it!
I started apartment hunting in May, but paused because of several things such as my internship, bank, and being overwhelmed with the hunt. It's my fault for putting this to the side. I wish I had gotten this done sooner. I feel I still have some time. I'd like to move in on the weekend of the 19th. My budget is anything under ~1.4k? One bed, one bath preferably. I have Broadstone Toscano near the top of my list, even though it doesn't fall under any of those districts. Thank you!
