Places to visit in Houston? Preferably no tigers please

Hi, I’ll be in town this weekend for a sporting event and coming from Dallas. I’m 27, love fitness and food.

I’m looking for:

• a park to run and workout at maybe no more than 30min from the Toyota Center

• a boxing/mma gym

• and a restaurant Houstonians love/should check it out

I’m also open to any suggestions on places to meet people. Thanks!
