Places to live for single male working in Tomball?

Got a job in downtown Tomball and was wondering which areas I should be looking to move to. Im a 29M, making 70k, with a $1200 budget for rent just looking for a one bedroom. Safety and security, as well as having a short drive to work are what im looking for. Im not bit on nightlife and bars so being in Houston isnt a huge deal. So far I am looking at Vintage Park and the 249 areas but would love to hear suggestions?
