Places for a boy’s haircut in the NW?

Hey, Houston. Trying to find something that isn’t just a Great Clips/Supercuts for my son.

He’s middle school aged. Hair is very thick and curly and down to his shoulders. He wants it shorter now. Nothing complicated just kinda longish on top and short around the ears. Like a fade of some kind?

Looking for something $40 or under ideally, and around the NW side, like 290 & 1960 area-ish.

Also, please let me know what the vibe is like of places you suggest or if there’s someone in particular to request. My son is on the spectrum, and I don’t want someone who’s gonna be pushy and rude bc he’s not as chatty as some kids. He’ll do and say what he needs to but he doesn’t like talking to strangers more than necessary.

Help a mom and a son out and let me know where the good spots are? He’s a great kid and I’d like to treat him to a haircut that isn’t done by me in the kitchen for a change lol.
