Pitching Rotation (Starting & Relief)

What are your thoughts on what our rotation be as we get closer to the postseason? Also, how do you rank our relief pitchers and why?

Current Thoughts 1. Valdez – Struggled before CG No-Hitter but still the Ace 2. Verlander – Rough May with the Mets but has started rounding into form the last couple month 3. Javier – Has had a lot of rocky starts lately but I hope he will get back to his usual self later in the year and into October 4. France – Super impressed by this rookie, has been consistently solid and playing better than Javier, but I think Javier is better overall 5. Brown – Had higher hopes for this year but he seems tired, love his ability to rack up strikeouts and I feel will be better than France long term 6. Urquidy – At his best he’s a solid innings eater, but his bases get crowded often and I feel like Astros only win shootouts with him on the mound

Relief Pitching Rankings: 1. Neris 2. Pressly 3. Abreu 4. Graveman 5. Maton 6. Stanek 7. Montero

8-11. Martinez, Mushinski, Gage, etc..

Neris is so consistent and I always trust him, Pressly has been shaky lately but is proven, Abreu’s stuff is filthy but he’s regressed since last year, Graveman has pitched well with the Sox but we will see how he does in Houston, Maton has been solid, and Montero has flat out underperformed but if he gets in under control he’s a great option as our 7th best.
