Pit bull attack at T.C Jester dog park

Sunday, I thought I would take my Golden Retriever to the TC Jester dog park for a quick play time while running errands. Unfortunately, I broke my cardinal rule of "not going into a dog park when a pit bull is there." The dog was on a leash with its owner so I thought what the hell, and then maybe 30 seconds after the owner let it off it was on top of my dog biting his ear/head.

I was right near by watching and so almost immediately I grabbed the pit and threw it off. And thankfully my dog got away with a single puncture to his ear. After it all happened the lady owner apologized saying "she couldn't believe it and this was the first time he's ever done this."

Seriously; f**k pit bull owners (any ANY dog owner) who owns an aggressive down and brings it in public or can't control it. I carry mace, and a knife when walking my dog and I stay vigilant about other dogs, but seriously Houston has to have the largest population of horrible dog owners I have ever seen.
