Phil Maton this year

Long time Phil Maton admirer here. He has had an outstanding year at the (likely sellimg) Cardinals.

As we seem to be revisiting retreads on relief pitching and I wonder if we would take a look at Maton as a rental this year if we are making moves at the deadline. $2M salar, would likely have to give something up for him.

He's a legit post season middle reliever and his curveball this year has looked as good as ever. I'd trust him over Hector, Scott and others.

Anyone have any general thoughts or opinions on this idea?
