Phat Eatery owner pivots away from ghost kitchens, plans new model

Late last year, Phat Eatery owner Alex Au-Yeung announced that his new ghost kitchen, Phat Kitchen, had split from its home at Blodgett Food Hall. Now, as he looks to open a non-ghost kitchen concept, Au-Yeung said the split was due to clashes with management and frequent disagreements on running Phat Kitchen. 

Au-Yeung’s new unnamed concept, located inside the 610 Loop, will offer takeout and to-go only, but there will be a face-to-face element that the ghost kitchen lacked. Previously announced…
