per scw weather app, brief or light tornados may appear tonight?

recently moved from nashville, tn to, katy, tx, and upon research, it had been recommended to me that i download a much more accirate weather app (than apple weather lol), called scw weather app. its very much more accurate and helpful. however, the wind is indeed wild tonight, and it does seem to be raining.

one thing it said was “we cant rule out some rotating updrafts and possibly some weak and brief tornados”

im not sure the level of tornado that may indicate. where i was from, if there’s a tornado, there’s a tornado. so im not sure if its any different down here. is it worrisome to hear that, but i hadnt heard of any tornado watched or warnings in katy at all yet. just curious if its something i ahould be on the lookout for/alarmed/or worried for by “brief or weak” tornadoes.
