People who turn from the middle lane one 1 way streets

Where’d you go to driver’s ed? Curious where they’re teaching this extremely dangerous behavior. Saw a wreck yesterday when someone wanted to hook a left from the 2nd lane on Durham and go down 12th; no light or stop sign, just time to do a left, drove right into the person in the left lane. Broad daylight!

They must be teaching this somewhere based on how much I see it. Has anyone ever considered missing their turn and just turning around?
