Overlooked aspect of Javier starting today

Javier will start Game 3, McCullers will start Game 4, and Verlander and Framber will be ready on regular rest for Games 5/6

So the Game 3 starter (Javier) is the one who is more likely to go on short rest for Game 7. Maybe with LMJ’s arm, they don’t want to take any risks with him on short rest? I’m addition to the champagne bottle incident, could this be a reason they switched them?

Of course Luis Garcia would also be a solid option for Game 7, but they’d probably like having Javier ready in case Garcia struggles.

Normally, you’d expect Garcia to be an option for games 3/4, with Javier and LMJ less likely to go deep into the game than Framber and JV. However they’ll have to have Game 7 in mind for Luis.
