Our old City Connects were perfect.

I don’t see a fraction of the thought that went into our old jerseys, which in my opinion made them among the best of the series and my favorite Astros jerseys in use by the team. Here are the details put into the last jerseys that prove this:

NASA worm font lettering/numbers

Numbers on pant leg like the tequila sunrise jerseys

Tequila sunrise gradient on the piping (which was unique for each jersey)

Mission Control panel grid on sleeves

Quotes like “The Eagle has Landed” inside the collar and above the certification patch

Texas flag with Houston area codes/ lunar lander

The actual “Space City” nickname

I know it’s early to judge but I feel like very little thought was put into the new ones and they’re following a trend of less-inventive designs. Maybe they’ll grow on me but these are just boring.
