Organizations that help low income families with home repairs?

My friend and their family want help with home repairs such as air conditioning, wall repairs, and replacing electrical wiring.

They don't have central ac, and their wall air conditioning is 10 years old so it's pretty weak especially in this heat.

They have kids in the house and the conditions aren't the best for them. Also if anyone can recommend any trash pickup companies, their lot needs a real good trash removal effort.
