Opinion: Eric Bieniemy

We've been locked in trying to replicate the "Patriot Way" for so long, which leaves me concerned about hiring EB. The Chiefs may be the new model of winning in the NFL, but do we want to attempt to replicate their hierarchy and success? I don't know, which makes the EB hire extremely risky. Replicating another teams success is what got us into trouble with guys like Easterby and BOB, so why is the Chief method any different. EB has shown that he can be a quality leader and coach, but my opinion of him is largely swayed by if he can bring in a solid defensive coaching staff. I believe that we need to find our way of winning in the NFL. I also have no read in Kansas City over who is calling the plays, which makes me worried about him as a play caller. We should definitely interview him and keep him in our top 3 candidates at all time, but if we are not careful with this hire we may end up in the same situation.
