One thing about Mills tonight

One thing I saw that I really want Mills and the coaching staff to build on is his leadership and command of the offense. What I mean is, when Mills took that first sack, you could argue that he should have called protections or called a hot route or whatever but he didn't. He seemed to just get to the line and snap the ball. However, after that, it was as if someone told him to slow down, don't be in a rush, evaluate the offense and the defense on the field and command the offense. Since that point, I saw him pointing out Mike's, changing plays, directing guys on the offense, etc. He said it himself in an interview that he likes to be able to command and run his own offense. I think if they can build on the fact that he's already looking that confident and already doing those kinds of things, it will help him grow faster. One thing about Tim Kelly is that he doesn't seem to have an ego. He asks players for their input in the offense. I think Kelly and Mills will work well together. Obviously it's early but I'm glad he's doing the things that fit his skill set already, because it's so early for him. Hope he pans out.

PS: Driskell looked awful.
