Older people with no work experience, what do you do for work? Does anyone have advice for a job?
I'm 36 male. Worked retail and fast food off and on my whole life. I did some basic data entry for a temp agency. Right now I do doordash and Uber eats and I've made $350 this week. It's okay but I can't do it forever.
Recently I tried working at a distribution center but couldn't keep up and parted ways.
Tried a job shuttling cars around by a railroad but I quit because it was dangerous and nobody followed the safety polices and they have no trainers, people fighting on the vans, and it was nothing but high school kids.
Seems like every job I'm capable of doing is so unprofessional with super high turnover rate. Or it's too physical like a warehouse job.
I still look everywhere for work. Probably gonna have to do more retail or restaurant part time while I keep doing doordash and uber eats.
But I feel so lost and far away from finding a decent job. I'm trying different things and trying to get out there. But it's so discouraging.
