OL prospect arm length
This is massive positive news for the Texans. With nearly all of the top OT’s this year measuring in with short arms, we should have lots of great options at 25 for college tackle to convert to OG for us, (and have their draft stock fall as a result of teams not viewing them as OT’s in the nfl.) Some can still be potential long term RT fits as well once we move on from Tytus likely next year or year after. *(Could not crosspost in this sub, but this post came from nfldraft sub.)
Official OL measurements are starting to come in from the combine. These will have a big impact on whether teams view these lineman as potential NFL tackles or guards. Typically closer to 34 inches+ is the cutoff for tackles, shorter and teams will start wanting to move you to guard where arm length is less impactful on your level of play. Definitely isn’t the end all be all but this is potentially huge for these players’ draft stock, especially guys like Campbell who have had question marks about what position he’ll play.
