OL Next Year- A Probable Outcome

With the way things are shaping up, whether we want to or not, I think Tunsil is likely to be traded. His contract is just not good, he's not helping much in the run game and Tytus is quite good at LT anyways. Judging by how he never returned to the field, it's entirely plausible the Texans will take calls. Tytus also apparently is having conversations with the team about being a tackle and not moving him around. With that being said, I think the team will trade Tunsil, put Tytus at LT and Heck at RT.

Now I know y'all aren't high on Heck but he is probably an average RT or can get there with a bit of time. Therefore, the Texans will focus on the interior line, drafting or signing FA guards and centers that can both play roles in pass blocking and run blocking. So I wouldn't be surprised if they left Neal on the table at 3 and just chose to take another player or trade down instead. Heck can play another season and if need be, get replaced another off season. There's too many things to address to be that nitpicky.

I think the Texans should focus on acquiring picks and then building their interior OL and their front 7 first. I'd also be on the lookout for a WR that wins on routes and gets separation quickly and a TE that can both block and catch in the first 3-4 rounds if there's one that fits. As far as RBs, we can take one late in the draft or go UDFA this year and be fine. DBs are still a need but we can get by with serviceable guys if we appropriately build the front 7. I think getting Mills more immediate help and establishing a front 7 is more important than elite DBs this year. Of course there has to be the right players for this though.

TLDR- Tunsil finna get traded. Howard- LT, Heck-RT. Draft and sign FA IOL. Focus on front 7 and building offense for Mills. Find serviceable elsewhere until next year.
