Obgyn rec for teen- heavy periods that won’t stop

Hi im looking for a good OBGYN that will help treat my abnormal period. For the past two years I’ve had a period that wouldn’t stop. Maybe it would stop for a day or two and keep going. It wouldn’t be too much blood most days so I didn’t mind bc i didn’t have cramps anyways but then i became anemic. In heavy days, I could have blood clots half the size of my hand. Then I went to see an OBGYN and got put on birth control for half a year now to get my iron levels up. But even then, during the school year I would still have spotting or light period. Only now on winter break have I stopped bleeding. So even the birth control couldn’t completely stop my period as it should have. I also got a ultrasound on my stomach done and they said I don’t have PCOS. I want to stop birth control and find the root cause of my abnormal periods bc this is just masking some of the problem. Please help rec a good obgyn that is gentle and tries to actually treat the problem. (also a virgin so i am against doing anything like a Pap smear or transvaginal ultrasound etc)
