NYE Thoughts

I’m a little drunk on figurative Kool-Aid and literal wine right now. Happy New Year to everyone.

We made it through the reign of HC/GM Bill O’Brien. We made it through the reign of Interim GM/Preacher/Con Man Jack Easterby. We lived the David Culley experience. We lived the Lovie Smith experience. WE MADE IT.

We now have a GM in Nick Caserio that somehow turned a former franchise player accused of 20+ sexual assaults into a stellar 2023 draft class with potential OROY and DROY candidates, a homegrown WR1, and hope on the horizon. We now have a HC in DeMeco Ryans who was extremely sought-after in coaching searches, just happened to be a former player, and has reinvigorated this entire team, fanbase, and city.

I walked out of NRG Stadium every game last year without a single win. We have clinched a winning record this year. Our playoff hopes are in our control. And it all comes down to beating the Colts next week.

It doesn’t get much better than this.
