not getting callbacks from fast food / retail jobs

hi everyone, im seventeen and have been looking for a job. i work for my adoptive parents right now which sucks because they find any excuse to cut my paycheck, i don’t have any money or any money to save due to it, so i’ve been looking for a job for a few weeks.

i’m in online school so i have full availability, i have decent transportation and i have some months experience in two retail jobs prior to this. i’ve applied to everywhere, even mcdonalds, without a call or email back or anything for an interview. is it better to just go in and tell them i applied or something? it would suck to have to do that for every single application because i’d have to walk or uber there and back, etc, but i guess if that’s the easier route i’ll have to do it. thanks for any answers!
