Noisy Bar in Neighborhood: What Works?

There’s a bar in our neighborhood in Museum District that plays loud music most days. On weekends they start early in the morning and they often go all night to dawn. There are two apartment buildings right next to it, including ours. Has anyone had success with a similar nuisance? We’ve called 311, but I don’t think it has done anything and besides… do we do that every night, or what?
