Nightlife in Houston for Solo Travellers?

Hey guys, I (21M) am visiting Houston alone in January before I head down to Mexico. What are some of the best nightclubs/bars available in the city for younger ppl like me to meet new ppl and drink a lot? Also is there like a specific area where a lot of the partying is known to occur? google really isnt too helpful at all.
