NFL Community 3-Round Mock Draft Results
Hey folks –
r/NFL_Draft did a 3-round mock draft today that included trades, and I thought I'd share the results for our Houston Texans. I wasn't the GM, but was in the "war room" and we had an absolute blast (and a kickass draft imo). Here are the highlights (note: some of the trade assets were received after other teams had traded already, i.e. PIT made a trade for Russell Wilson):
PRE-DRAFT TRADES:
- Tunsil Trade:
- HOU receives: 1.25, 2023 2nd-rd pick
- CIN receives: Laremy Tunsil
- Deshaun Watson Trade:
- HOU receives: 1.20 (via PIT), 2023 1st-rd pick, 2023 1st-rd pick (via PIT), 2023 3-rd pick (via PIT), LB/S Tanner Muse (lol)
- SEA receives: Deshaun Watson
- Justin Reid Trade (in this scenario, we would franchise tag Reid, then trade him, which makes him eligible for trade, despite him being a FA):
- HOU receives: 2023 4th-rd pick (could be a 3rd-rounder based on conditions)
- CAR receives: Justin Reid
So, after all trades, we had these picks in this draft (2022):
- 1.3, 1.20 (Watson trade), 1.25 (Tunsil trade), 2.35, 3.67, 3.82 (via NO)
DRAFT SELECTIONS (Linked a highlight video for each player):
- 1.3 – Kyle Hamilton (S – Notre Dame)
- 1.20 – Devin Lloyd (LB – Utah)
- 1.25 – Kenyon Green (IOL – Texas A&M)
- 2.35 – Nicholas Petit-Frere (OT – Ohio State)
- 3.67 – Drake Jackson (EDGE – USC)
- 3.82 – Isaiah Spiller (RB – Texas A&M)
Overall, pretty awesome value for our team. Would love to know what y'all think!
